Routers & Matrix
Pick which deck feeds which output, live.
- Router: One active input, 1–8. Set live by keys 1–8 when selected, by a Routing action, or over the REST API.
- Matrix: 4 outputs, each sourced from any of 8 inputs; 4 preset slots (edits auto-store into the current slot; recall via preset).
- Both have a Name field so they can be targeted by name.
- They publish status downstream:
router.active,router.name,matrix.preset,matrix.source. - Ownership re-stamp: A router or matrix re-keys the telemetry it passes with its OWN name, whatever device is routed into a router named
Main, downstream seesMain.beat.bar,Main.playback.state, … So a script after the router usessource.Main.beat.barand keeps working when the routing changes. Which physical deck is live stays visible asMain.device.number/Main.device.kind. Writes address the routed deck the same way:output.Main.led.play = truepresses Play on whichever CDJ is currently routed. (Node ancestry stamps likeCDJ2.node.descriptionkeep their original owner; a bypassed router/matrix is fully transparent and re-stamps nothing.)
